Angel Porter

Life is a whirlwind. Compound today's stress with past experiences and you get a storm of stuff, chaos, pressure, whatever you want to call it. All of this together can make day-to-day feel completely overwhelming. My passion for healing and learning to manage all of this "stuff" comes through experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and refugees dealing with life’s chaos and challenges.  I specialize in work with adolescents and adults dealing with trauma, depression, anxiety, relational, social, and academic problems.

My therapeutic approach is integrative and holistic: not simply focusing on a single problem, rather the whole person that can be cared for, empowered, and developed to thrive. When experiences cause pain and have not been given the proper attention to heal, then they will only continue to cause pain throughout life. This keeps a person from becoming the best version of themselves. I hope to be a part of the healing process and see people grow strong from their experiences, rather than be weakened by them. In order to achieve your goals, we will work as a team using models that include cognitive behavioral, family systems, EMDR, and reality therapy. We will work together to build a plan tailored to your needs for the best possible healing and growth.
