Dr. Courtney Cornick, Ph.D.
People have the unending capacity to heal, cope, and change their lives even through life’s most difficult challenges. It is common to feel alone, isolated, and hopeless when a health condition becomes chronic. Not knowing when/if things will improve or hearing that your medical team has nothing more to offer can be devastating.
I have a passion for helping individuals cope and find peace in the midst of living with physical health conditions. I use integrative therapeutic practices, including evidence-based psychotherapy, to meet each individual where they are in life. I take a holistic approach to consider the mind-body interaction and utilize techniques such as clinical hypnosis and mindfulness to help individuals reduce stress and manage chronic pain.
I received my doctorate in psychology from the University of Iowa and have specialized training as a health psychologist. I have spent my career working in hospital and private practice settings to help individuals from all identities, ability statuses, and walks of life to increase their well-being and live valued lives. It would be an honor to join you on your wellness journey.
Credentials: I am a Licensed Psychologist in Illinois, Indiana, Florida, and Wisconsin and earned my PhD in Counseling Psychology from The University of Iowa.
